Togo’s Amevor Maouna Joins Notts County on Two-Year Deal
Togolese international defender Amevor Maouna is set for a new chapter in his career after signing a two-year contract with English club Notts County.
The 23-year-old makes the move from the Netherlands following the end of his contract with Go Ahead Eagles, who were recently relegated from the Dutch top flight. Amevor, who made his Eredivisie debut with the club, now joins Notts County as they prepare for the upcoming season in England’s League Two.
The switch to English football marks a significant step for the centre-back, who has already gained international experience with Togo, earning five caps since his debut in November 2014.
Before joining Go Ahead Eagles, Amevor played for FC Dordrecht, making 71 appearances and establishing himself as a reliable presence in defence.
His move to Notts County presents both a fresh challenge and a new opportunity to develop his career further, as he looks to make an impact in English football while continuing to contribute to Togo’s national team.
