Ametokodo Messan King has been appointed as the new head coach of ASCK, the Togolese club that finished as vice-champion in last season’s D1 Lonato league. The announcement comes after weeks of speculation linking the coach with a move to Kozah, which has now been officially confirmed.

King, who has previously made a name for himself with ASKO de Kara, is set to lead his new team after a successful tenure at AS OTR last season.

His experience in the Togolese football scene has made him a familiar figure, and he is now tasked with guiding ASCK to further success.

The 46-year-old coach was officially introduced to ASCK’s players and staff on Tuesday, with the club releasing a statement confirming his appointment.

King’s first challenge in charge will come on Sunday, December 8, when ASCK competes in the Togolese Super Cup at the Kégué stadium.

Ironically, his debut match will see him face off against his former club, ASKO de Kara, where he enjoyed significant success.

ASCK’s management will be hoping that King can build on the team’s strong performance from last season and push them towards more silverware.

With his tactical acumen and understanding of Togolese football, King’s leadership will be pivotal in the club’s efforts to maintain its competitive edge.

As ASCK prepares for the Super Cup, all eyes will be on King’s ability to integrate his coaching philosophy and implement changes that could propel the team to new heights.
