Olympique Marseille have reached an agreement with Juventus for the loan acquisition of American-Liberian attacker Timothy Weah this summer.
Weah, a Ligue 1 winner with Paris Saint-Germain and Lille OSC is joining the French Ligue 1 giants on a season-long loan with a mandatory purchase option included in the deal.
Following an agreement with both parties, the 25-year-old winger is expected to finalize his switch to the Ligue 1 outfit in the coming days.
Despite interest from other clubs, Weah prioritize a return to France, where he previously had spells with PSG and Lille.
Having reached agreement for the loan signing of Weah, the Frecnh giants will pay a fee for the American’s loan deal, whilst the deal will also include the option to make the move permanent for €14m plus €3m worth of bonuses.
The former Lille OSC player will travel to France to complete a move to the Vélodrome this week.
Weah is expected to fill the void left by Luis Henrique following his move to Italian giants Internazionale Milan. Known for his versatility, the 25-year-old is expected to solidify Marseille’s squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
The winger has made 44 appearances for the USA national team since making his debut in 2018, racking seven goals across the period.
