Napoli are reportedly close to finalising a deal to acquire Yunus Musah from AC Milan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 21-year-old American midfielder, who joined Milan from Valencia in 2023, has struggled to secure a consistent starting position under coach Sergio Conceição.
Musah’s playing time diminished towards the end of the 2024–25 season, leading to speculation about his future at the club.
Despite the arrival of new manager Massimiliano Allegri, who could potentially offer Musah a more prominent role, reports indicate that the player is inclined to pursue an opportunity at Napoli.
Under the guidance of coach Antonio Conte, Napoli are keen to bolster their midfield options, and Musah has emerged as a primary target.
The Serie A champions are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Milan to secure the midfielder’s services.
Musah, who has represented the United States national team 47 times, is valued at €22 million by Transfermarkt.
He is under contract with Milan until 2028, and his potential departure would mark a significant move in the upcoming transfer window.
Should the transfer proceed, Musah would have the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League with Napoli, further advancing his career in European football.
As discussions continue, both clubs are working to finalise the terms of the agreement, with an official announcement anticipated in the coming days.
