AmaZulu FC confirm terminating contract of midfielder Ben Motshwari
South African outfit, AmaZulu, have confirmed the termination of the contract of midfielder Ben Motshwari.
According to information gathered, the club decided to terminate the player’s contract due to disciplinary issues.
The 34-year-old last featured for Usuthu on September 17, when they earned a 2-1 Betway Premiership win over Stellenbosch. This season, he made seven appearances in all competitions, six in the league and one in the MTN8.
SABC Sport first reported the news, which was later confirmed by the club’s Public Relations Officer, Philani Ndlela.
“The club has taken the decision to terminate the contract of Ben Motshwari following a disciplinary investigation. Mr Motshwari was found to be in breach of the club’s code of conduct,” Ndlela stated.
He added, “At this moment, this is all the information that we are able to share.”
Motshwari joined AmaZulu at the start of the 2023/24 season and went on to make 60 appearances, scoring once during his time in Durban.
