Amath Ndiaye joins Lusail SC from Real Valladolid for €400k

Senegalese-Spanish winger Amath Ndiaye has joined Qatar Stars League club Lusail SC from Real Valladolid in a €400,000 transfer, completing a move away from Spain’s second tier.

The 30-year-old right winger has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Ndiaye’s move to Lusail brings his time with Valladolid to an end after two years with the Spanish club.

Ndiaye joined Real Valladolid from RCD Mallorca in July 2024 for €2m. He had initially moved to Mallorca on loan from Valladolid in February 2024 before returning to the club at the end of that season, and the subsequent transfer made the switch permanent.

His latest move takes him from LaLiga2 to Qatar’s top division, with Lusail becoming the latest club in a career that has included spells in both Spain and Qatar. Ndiaye was born in Dakar and holds Senegalese and Spanish nationalities.

A right-footed attacker, Ndiaye came through Valladolid’s youth system before joining Atletico Madrid’s Under-19 side in 2014. He later moved into Atletico’s reserve setup and spent the 2016-17 season on loan at CD Tenerife.

Ndiaye joined Getafe in August 2017 for €3m, establishing another step in his progression through Spanish football. He returned to Mallorca on loan in 2020 before making a permanent move to the club from Getafe the following year for €3m.

The winger’s career has also included time with Mallorca and Valladolid during periods of movement between Spain’s professional divisions. His most recent recorded campaign with Valladolid began before the move to Qatar, although he did not make an appearance before leaving the club.

Ndiaye’s transfer gives Lusail a player whose principal position is on the right side of attack and whose career has been spent largely in the Spanish professional game. He joins the Qatar club on a deal that extends through the end of June 2027.
