Amara Konate: Guinea midfielder joins Turris on loan from Cavese

Guinea midfielder Amara Konate has joined Italian side Turris on loan from Cavese as the Serie D club strengthens its options in central midfield for the new campaign.

The 27-year-old, who was born in N’zerekore and stands at 1.80m, has signed a deal that keeps him with Turris until 30 June 2027, with the move formally completed on 11 July 2026. The switch is a straight loan transfer and follows a series of temporary moves for the player over the past two seasons.

Konate arrives from Cavese, having been on their books since September 2023 after a spell without a club following his departure from ACR Messina. During his time in Italy he has operated mainly as a central midfielder and is comfortable on both feet, offering flexibility in the middle of the pitch.

He brings solid experience of the Italian lower leagues, with more than 90 appearances in Serie C Group C and over 40 in Serie D, as well as outings in domestic cup competitions. Across his senior career he has chipped in with goals and assists from midfield and has accumulated several thousand minutes at professional level.

Konates most notable achievement to date came with Perugia, where he was part of the squad that won the Serie C Group B title in the 2020-21 season. After progressing with Perugias youth team, he gained further experience on loan with Rieti before spells with Perugias first team and Messina.

Turris agreement with Cavese means Konate will spend the 2026-27 season with the Serie D side before his loan is scheduled to end next summer.
