AMARA BABY JOINS CHARLEROI AFTER AUXERRE EXIT
Franco-Senegalese midfielder Amara Baby has officially signed with Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian First Division, following the termination of his contract with AJ Auxerre. The move was confirmed Monday evening by the Belgian club.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has penned a one-year deal, with an option for an additional season. Baby, who has represented Senegal at the international level, had also attracted interest from FC Nantes before choosing to continue his career in Belgium.
Having previously played for Châteauroux, Le Mans, and Laval — all in France’s Ligue 2 — Baby brings experience and versatility to the Charleroi midfield as he looks to establish himself in a top-flight league.
