Amaju Pinnick Elected New NFF President Amid Crisis

After months of turmoil and uncertainty in Nigerian football, Amaju Pinnick has emerged as the new president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), following elections held at an extraordinary congress in Warri State.

    • Amaju Pinnick: 25 votes

    • Taiwo Ogunjobi: 9 votes

    • Dominic Iorfa: 4 votes
      (29 votes were required for outright victory — two-thirds of the 44-member Congress.)

  • Second Round Results:

    • Amaju Pinnick: 32 votes ✅

    • Dominic Iorfa: 8 votes

    • Taiwo Ogunjobi: 4 votes

Pinnick thus succeeds Aminu Maigari, officially ending the leadership dispute that had plagued Nigerian football and drawn threats of suspension from FIFA.
