Amadou Kone attracting interest from Lyon, Nice and Serie A clubs

Ivorian defensive midfielder Amadou Kone is attracting renewed interest from clubs across Europe, with Olympique Lyonnais and OGC Nice among those monitoring his situation.

The 21-year-old left Stade de Reims for Neom SC in Saudi Arabia a year ago and has quickly established himself in the midfield of the Saudi club. His performances have continued to draw attention from European teams.

According to 225foot, both Ligue 1 clubs are impressed by Kone’s work-rate, physical strength and knowledge of French football. In Italy, Fiorentina and Atalanta Bergame have also made enquiries about the player as they assess whether to make a move.

Kone remains under contract with Neom SC until June 2029, a commitment that could make a return to Europe more complicated. His current market value is estimated at 7 million euros by Transfermarkt.

The midfielder had previously been linked with Olympique de Marseille and Hull City, in a move first reported exclusively by Africafoot. His continued presence on the transfer radar underlines the interest he retains in the market despite moving to Saudi Arabia.
