Amad Diallo targets trophy success with Manchester United
Amad Diallo believes Manchester United can compete for silverware this season after playing a decisive role in the club’s 1-1 pre-season draw with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ivorian winger created Bryan Mbeumo’s equaliser following a lively display against the European champions.
PSG took an early lead through Ibrahim Mbaye, but United responded with purpose. Amad won possession, drove forward and supplied Mbeumo, who finished to restore parity. The result offered encouragement as the squad continued to build fitness ahead of the new campaign.
“Good game. We knew PSG are good, we kept building fitness and that’s why we are here. We are really happy to have players back in the team and we keep going,” Amad said.
The winger viewed the draw as a positive step against formidable opponents. “It was a good game. We know how tough they are to beat, but a draw is good and we think about the next game,” he added.
United still have pre-season matches against Leeds United and AC Milan before competitive action begins. Amad is focused on a successful year and hopes the squad can translate its preparations into silverware. “We have a good season coming, a big season and I hope we can win a trophy this season.”
