Amad Diallo backs Michael Carrick to stay at Man United
Amad Diallo has thrown his support behind Michael Carrick continuing as Manchester United manager beyond this season, as speculation grows that the interim boss could be given the job permanently after securing Champions League qualification.
Carrick has impressed during his time in charge, steadying the team and putting himself firmly in contention to remain at the helm next campaign.
Diallo stressed that the dressing room is fully behind Carrick, even if the final decision lies with the club hierarchy. “It’s not the player who decides who is going to stay here next season, but what I can say, everyone is happy to have him as manager. Everyone is with him,” the winger said, underlining the strong bond between the coach and the squad.
He went on to praise Carrick’s man-management and the way he connects with the group on a personal level. “He’s that manager who has a good relationship with every player, so we are really happy to have him as manager, and we will be happy if we have him next season as manager,” Diallo added. His comments reflect a growing feeling within the camp that continuity under Carrick could benefit United heading into next season.
