Alverca target dual-national Palace defender Mofe Jemide
England and Nigeria dual-national Mofe Jemide is being linked with a move from Crystal Palace U21 to Portuguese top-flight club Alverca.
The 19-year-old centre-back has emerged as a reported transfer target for the Liga Portugal side, although the move has not been confirmed.
Jemide joined Palace’s under-21 squad in July 2024 after progressing from the club’s youth set-up. He has since made 24 appearances in Premier League 2 and five in the EFL Trophy, also featuring in the Premier League International Cup and the FA Youth Cup.
His record includes one goal in the Premier League International Cup, while he was part of the Palace side that won the competition. Jemide has also played six times in the Premier League 2 play-offs and made 34 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League before moving into the under-21 group.
The interest from Alverca would represent a potential move into senior football in Portugal for the defender, who has spent his career to date within the Crystal Palace system. He remains listed as a Palace U21 player, with no transfer confirmed.
