Alpha Njie joins E. Schenkenberg as Gambian midfielder completes free transfer
Gambia midfielder Alpha Njie has opened a new chapter by joining E. Schenkenberg on a free transfer from Altludersdorf.
The 28-year-old switches clubs after one season with Altludersdorf, having arrived there from Petershagen-E. in July 2025. Njie, who operates in midfield, becomes part of the E. Schenkenberg squad for the 2026-27 season.
Njie has built his career in German football, with his recent move marking the latest in a series of free transfers between clubs in the regional leagues. Before joining Altludersdorf, he spent the 2024-25 campaign with Petershagen-E., following a spell at BSC Sud 05.
His career record includes 105 appearances and 21 goals in the Brandenburgliga. He has also made 25 appearances in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord, nine in the Berlin-Liga and nine in the Brandenburgpokal. Njie scored twice in the Berlin-Liga and once in the Brandenburgpokal.
The midfielder began his recorded senior-club career with Internatio. II, moving to FC Brandenburg in 2020 before returning to BSC Sud 05 the following year. He then joined Werderaner FC in 2022, rejoined BSC Sud 05 in 2023 and moved on to Petershagen-E. the next year.
That sequence of club changes has kept Njie within the German regional football structure, with his latest switch taking him from Altludersdorf to E. Schenkenberg. The move is the first recorded transfer of his 2026-27 season.
Njie completed his free transfer to E. Schenkenberg on 12 August 2026.
