Alisson set for Liverpool bench as Tottenham visit Anfield in League Cup

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola says he will make changes to his side for Tuesday’s League Cup third-round match against Tottenham at Anfield.

Alisson Becker is expected to be among the substitutes, with Giorgi Mamardashvili set to start in goal, Iraola told reporters.

Joe Gomez is also in contention to feature for Liverpool, who entered the competition at the third-round stage.

“We want to win the match, and we want to play well,” Iraola said.

Tottenham reached this round after a convincing 5-1 victory over Charlton in the second round.
