Ali Youssef: Tunisia-Sweden striker joins Mjallby AIF on loan from Apollon Limassol

Mjallby AIF have added Tunisia-Sweden forward Ali Youssef to their attack, signing the 25-year-old centre-forward on loan from Apollon Limassol. The deal takes the striker back to Swedish football and runs until 31 December 2026.

Youssef, born in Gothenburg and capped at club level in both Sweden and Cyprus, moves to the Allsvenskan side after a spell in the Cyprus League with Apollon. The switch is a loan transfer, with Apollon retaining his registration when the agreement ends at the close of the calendar year.

Primarily a centre-forward and right-footed, the 1.82m attacker arrives with recent competitive minutes from Cyprus, where he featured in the Kypello Kyprou during the 2025-26 campaign. He made two appearances in the cup for Apollon that season, adding further senior experience outside Sweden.

Before moving abroad, Youssef came through the ranks at BK Hacken, progressing from their U17 and U19 sides into the first team. He later became part of a Hacken squad that won the Swedish championship in 2022, the standout honour of his career to date.

Youssef joined Apollon Limassol in January 2025 and now returns to Swedens top flight with Mjallby seeking to make use of his Allsvenskan pedigree. His market value is currently listed at 500,000, underlining his status as an established professional addition to the Mjallby squad.

The forwards registration with Mjallby AIF is confirmed on a temporary basis, with the loan scheduled to conclude and Youssef due to return to Apollon Limassol on 31 December 2026.
