Ali Sulieman: Eritrean Kahraba striker linked with Ittihad Alexandria move

Ali Sulieman, the Eritrean centre-forward currently at Kahraba, is being linked with a move to Egyptian Premier League side Ittihad Alexandria as the coastal club explore options to strengthen their attack.

The 26-year-old has emerged as one of the most productive forwards in the region in recent seasons, with his form in Egypt and Ethiopia drawing increasing attention. Sulieman joined Kahraba from Hawasa Ketema in August 2025 and has since operated as a left-footed central striker, wearing the number 13 shirt.

While terms of any potential deal have not been disclosed, Suliemans current market valuation stands at around 800,000, a figure that provides a rough benchmark for negotiations. Ittihad are understood to be monitoring forwards with a proven scoring record in East Africa and the Egyptian top flight, placing the Kahraba attacker among their targets.

Sulieman has delivered consistently across league and cup competitions, including a prolific spell in the Ethiopian Premier League where he finished as top scorer in consecutive seasons in 2023/24 and 2024/25, with 20 and then 18 goals. Since moving to Egypt, he has also demonstrated his eye for goal in the league and domestic cups, reinforcing his reputation as a reliable finisher.

Born in Senafe and standing at 1.68m, Sulieman has built his career step by step through Red Sea FC Asmara, Bahirdar Ketema and Hawasa Ketema before earning his move to Kahraba. He joined his current club on a free transfer, and without a publicly defined contract expiry date, his situation remains one to watch as Ittihad assess whether to turn their interest into a formal approach.
