Ali Sowe in negotiations with Rizespor for permanent move
Gambian international striker Ali Sowe is currently engaged in discussions with Turkish Super League club Rizespor regarding a potential permanent transfer from Russian club Rostov.
Sowe recently confirmed his departure from MKE Ankaragucu after the conclusion of his second loan spell with the club.
Over the past two seasons, he played on loan for Ankaragucu, due to Rostov’s suspension from world football amidst the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The 30-year-old forward, previously a key player for CSKA Sofia, is now in advanced talks with Rizespor as both clubs negotiate the terms of the transfer.
Rizespor is looking to secure Sowe’s services on a permanent basis, marking a significant step forward in his career.
During his tenure with Ankaragucu, Sowe made a notable impact, scoring 22 goals and providing seven assists in 66 appearances.
Despite the team’s recent relegation, his performance has been a bright spot, making him a valuable target for other clubs.
His current market value stands at €1.70 million, a price tag that reflects his proven track record and potential to bolster any attacking line-up.
Additionally, Sowe has attracted interest from clubs in the Middle East, particularly in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
However, it appears that Rizespor is currently leading the race to secure his signature.
This potential move to Rizespor could provide Sowe with an opportunity to continue playing at a high level in the Turkish Super League, while offering Rizespor an experienced and reliable striker to strengthen their squad.
The negotiations are ongoing, and both parties are optimistic about reaching an agreement that benefits everyone involved.
The Gambian striker’s career trajectory has been marked by his adaptability and goal-scoring prowess, which have seen him succeed in various leagues across Europe.
If the deal with Rizespor is finalized, it will be another chapter in Sowe’s journey, showcasing his talent and determination to excel at the highest levels of football.
