Ali Mahmoud: Al Ahly sign Enppi attacking midfielder in 538k deal

Al Ahly have completed the signing of Egyptian attacking midfielder Ali Mahmoud from Enppi SC in a permanent transfer worth 538,000. The 23-year-old moves within the Egyptian Premier League and joins the Cairo giants with an estimated market value of 350,000.

Mahmoud, a left-footed attacking midfielder, arrives after a rapid rise at Enppi, where his valuation has increased significantly over the past 18 months. His market value climbed from 50,000 in early 2025 to 350,000 by May 2026, underlining his development and growing stature in the league.

Born on 4 December 2002 and standing at 1.78m, Mahmoud strengthens Al Ahlys options in the advanced midfield positions. He moves to the club after establishing himself at Enppis first team, having initially been part of their U21 set-up before progressing through spells elsewhere in Egyptian football.

Before returning to Enppis senior side in 2024, Mahmoud gained experience with Pioneers following a move from Enppi U21 in 2023. Earlier in his career, he spent time on loan at El Masry Salloum FC from Enppis youth ranks, a stint that concluded in mid-2023 when he went back to his parent club.

Mahmoud now makes the step from Enppi to Al Ahly in the same division, marking the most high-profile move of his career to date.
