Al Ahly’s first football team welcomed Ali Maâloul back to collective training, held this evening at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium on Al Jazeera Island.
Maâloul rejoined the team’s training sessions following his participation with the Tunisian national team in the Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
The seasoned player’s return is expected to bolster Al Ahly’s defensive capabilities as they gear up for upcoming challenges.
In addition to Maâloul, Khaled Abdelfattah, another key player in Al Ahly’s football squad, actively participated in the group training session.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, the team’s physician, confirmed that Abdelfattah took part in the collective training after recovering from a minor injury to his hamstring.
The team recently concluded an external preparatory camp in Ajman, UAE, engaging in friendly matches against Saudi’s Al-Akhdoud and Hatta from the Emirates.
The camp aimed to fine-tune the squad’s tactics and physical condition for the demanding phase ahead.
Al Ahly is now preparing for a pivotal encounter against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, a match scheduled as part of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The return of Maâloul and Abdelfattah to full fitness provides a positive outlook for the team as they aim for success in continental competition.
