Ali El Bennane joins USM Oujda as Moroccan midfielder completes free transfer

Moroccan attacking midfielder Ali El Bennane has joined USM Oujda from JS Massira on a free transfer, completing his move on 21 August 2026.

The 24-year-old, who was born in Laayoune, arrives after spending the previous three seasons with JS Massira. El Bennane played in the attacking midfield position and is right-footed.

El Bennane featured four times for JS Massira in the Excellence Cup, playing 290 minutes during the competition. His move to USM Oujda comes at the start of the 2026-27 season and represents the latest step in a career that has so far been spent in Moroccan football.

Before joining JS Massira, El Bennane represented Phosboucraa. He moved to JS Massira on a free transfer on 1 August 2023, beginning a three-year spell with the club before switching to USM Oujda.

The transfer keeps El Bennane in Morocco as he moves directly from JS Massira to USM Oujda. His arrival adds an attacking midfield option to Oujda’s squad, with the player’s preferred role coming behind the forwards.

El Bennane’s competitive involvement before the move included four Excellence Cup appearances, with 290 minutes played. He now begins his time with USM Oujda after completing his second free transfer in senior football.

The midfielder joined USM Oujda from JS Massira without a transfer fee on 21 August 2026.
