Algerian winger Hillal Soudani has been crowned NK Maribor’s Player of the Month for February following a string of impressive performances in the Slovenian top flight.
The 37-year-old, who had already been voted the club’s best player for 2024 earlier this year, secured 49% of the votes cast by fans to claim the monthly accolade.
Soudani’s contribution was pivotal during February, scoring three goals in four Prva Liga appearances.
The former Dinamo Zagreb forward netted twice against Domzale and added another goal in the match against Mura on Matchdays 19 and 22, respectively, underlining his importance to Maribor’s attacking setup.
Despite missing two months at the start of the season due to injury, Soudani has managed to register five goals in 14 league outings so far this campaign.
His consistent performances have earned him recognition as one of the standout players in the squad.
Maribor, who are aiming to strengthen their position in the league standings, will next face Kalcer Radomlje in the 23rd round of the Slovenian championship, with Soudani expected to play a key role in their push for victory.
