Feyenoord have secured the long-term future of Anis Hadj Moussa, with the Algerian winger signing a contract extension that keeps him at De Kuip until the summer of 2030.
The 23-year-old, who arrived in Rotterdam just a year ago, has been rewarded for a standout debut season that saw him become an influential figure in the Dutch side’s attacking setup.
His new deal reflects the club’s confidence in his growing importance, particularly as Robin van Persie’s team prepares for life without Igor Paixão, who recently departed for Olympique de Marseille.
Hadj Moussa joined Feyenoord in 2024 following a brief loan stint at Vitesse Arnhem.
His earlier career saw him develop through the ranks at RC Lens in northern France, before moving to Belgium where he represented Olympique de Charleroi and later Patro Eisden in Maasmechelen.
His time in the Belgian leagues paved the way for his breakthrough into Dutch football, culminating in a permanent switch to Feyenoord.
During the 2024/25 campaign, the Paris-born winger made 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and contributing five assists.
His dynamic style, coupled with an eye for goal, quickly endeared him to the Feyenoord faithful and earned him a call-up to the Algerian national team.
Speaking to Feyenoord’s official website after putting pen to paper, Hadj Moussa shared his pride in committing his future to the club: “Since my arrival a year ago, I’ve already taken many steps in my development. From the infrastructure to the staff to the players around me: everything is in place for me to continue to surpass myself and each other. Every day is a new opportunity to progress. I’m doing everything I can to achieve this. I’m not done yet.”
The club’s decision to extend his contract comes as part of a broader strategy to maintain continuity and build around young talent.
With Hadj Moussa now a key figure in van Persie’s plans, the winger will have a significant role to play as Feyenoord chase domestic and European success in the seasons to come.
His extension not only signals personal progress but also highlights Feyenoord’s intent to retain top performers amid increasing interest from abroad.
As the new season approaches, Hadj Moussa will be expected to take on added responsibility and help fill the creative void left by Paixão’s departure.
