Al-Fayha FC have officially announced the signing of Algerian international Yassine Benzia, with the attacking midfielder committing to the Saudi Pro League club on a deal running until 2026.

The 29-year-old arrives from Azerbaijani champions Qarabağ FK, where he enjoyed a notable resurgence in form, particularly during the club’s impressive run in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

His performances there helped re-establish his profile on the international stage and caught the attention of Al-Fayha, who are eager to add both creativity and experience to their midfield ranks.

Benzia’s move to Al Majma’ah marks a significant chapter in a career that has spanned top-flight football in France, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

Once regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Ligue 1, the former Lyon and Lille man has endured both highs and setbacks.

His stint at Qarabağ, however, was widely regarded as a turning point, with the Algerian rediscovering the flair and consistency that once made him a regular name in European competitions.

Al-Fayha have been active in strengthening their squad in recent transfer windows, and Benzia’s addition reflects the club’s growing ambition.

With the Saudi Pro League continuing to draw established talent from across the globe, Benzia joins a league undergoing a period of remarkable growth and transformation.

His signing is expected to bring not only technical quality but also leadership and continental experience to a team striving for greater success.

Supporters of Al-Fayha have welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm, hopeful that the Algerian playmaker will play a decisive role in helping the club climb the league standings.

The Saudi side will be looking to improve on their recent domestic campaigns, and the acquisition of a player with Benzia’s pedigree could prove crucial in navigating a competitive season.

Throughout his career, Benzia has demonstrated an ability to operate across various attacking roles, offering versatility and intelligence in the final third.

His vision, close control, and passing range are likely to be key assets in manager Vuk Rašović’s tactical setup as the team prepares for the challenges ahead.

For Benzia, this move offers another opportunity to showcase his talent on a new stage while contributing to one of the Middle East’s most rapidly evolving football competitions.

As Al-Fayha continue to strengthen their squad in pursuit of higher ambitions, all eyes will be on how the Algerian midfielder adapts to his new surroundings and influences the pace and rhythm of the team’s play.

The deal underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing appeal as a footballing destination and reflects the league’s wider commitment to attracting international talent.

With Benzia now on board, Al-Fayha will hope to make a strong statement in the upcoming season.
