Experienced Algerian international, Nabil Bentaleb has made a return to action for Lille following his nine-month layoff.
The midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest in June 2024 and has had to spend months on the sidelines receiving treatment.
Last Wednesday, he returned to the Lille squad after he received clearance from the French Football Federation.
Having made it into Lille’s matchday squad for the game against Stade Rennais on Sunday, Nabil Bentaleb needed just four minutes to score.
He missed out on a starting role but made an instant impact after coming on in the second half.
In his dream comeback, Nabil Bentaleb received a rousing welcome from the Lille fans creating an emotional atmosphere.
