Algerian gaffer Djamel Belmadi opens up on Al Duhail’s preparation for Al Ahli clash in AFC Champions League

Legendary Algerian trainer Djamel Belmadi has opened up on his side Al Duhail’s preparation ahead of the high-stake clash against Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League West Zone.

The Qatari outfit will play host to the Saudi Arabian giants in a much-anticipated clash on Monday evening, with both teams yearning for victory in the second round of matches.

However, Belmadi, who guided Algeria to annex the AFCON title few years ago has shed light on the upcoming clash against Al Ahli.

“The preparations were good, and we focused on recovery after the Al Sadd match. We tried to prepare ourselves well for the difficult and tough match that awaits us against Al Ahli.”

Al Duhail succumbed to a defeat in their opening game of the AFC Champions League and are looking forward to grinding a positive results against Al Ahli to better their chances in this year’s campaign.

After one game each, Al Duhail find themselves in the 10^th position in the West Zone of the competition.
