Kheïreddine Madoui Confirms Stay at ES Sétif Despite Earlier Resignation
Despite announcing his departure a few weeks ago,Kheïreddine Madoui has officially decided to continue his adventure with ES Sétif. The suspense surrounding the young coach’s future has now ended, and the architect of the club’s historic treble will remain at the helm.
“I am staying with the Entente,” Madoui declared during an interview on National Radio, putting to rest all speculation.
Madoui had initially announced his resignation earlier in the month, shortly after leading ES Sétif to the group stage of the CAF Champions League, eliminating Raja Casablanca (2-2 aggregate, 4-1 on penalties). However, the club’s management refused to accept his departure.
Club president Hassan Hammar, alongside sporting director Daïa Eddine Boulahdjilat and board chairman Azzedine Arab, mounted a strong campaign to convince Madoui to stay, praising both his remarkable achievements—including the Algerian league title, the CAF Champions League, and the African Super Cup—and the enormous pressure he has endured.
Madoui’s decision to stay ensures continuity for a club that has enjoyed one of the most successful seasons in its history under his leadership.
