Achraf Abada has emerged as one of Algeria A’ team’s most reliable performers at the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, delivering a flawless group stage and becoming a defensive pillar for the Verts.
Speaking to the Algerian FA’s official channels, he reflected on the campaign with calm confidence and clear pride.
Rewinding to the early games, Abada underlined how strong the opposition was and how the group grew together: “It was a well-deserved qualification in the first round of the Arab Cup. The teams were good and respectable. The first match against Sudan was against an organized and respectable team.”
He added that Bahrain were also tough, but Algeria won “with a good result”, before dominating Iraq in a match where “people saw we were superior.”
He stressed that responsibility and unity pushed the team forward, recalling that Algeria conceded only once in three matches despite playing the opener with ten men. Abada, who had already featured in 2021, said every player must add something and vowed to “work until the final, Inshallah.”
Visibly moved, he called it “an honor” and not a simple participation, describing it as a responsibility toward the national team and the Algerian people, whose incredible support makes every stadium feel like home and fuels the squad’s desire to keep progressing.
