The 51st Algerian Cup final is set for this Saturday at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, marking a historic occasion for both competing teams. MO Béjaia (MOB) and RC Arba (RCA) will face off in what is a first-ever final appearance for each club in the Algerian Cup.

MO Béjaia, currently contenders for the Algerian Ligue 1 title, are determined to capture their first-ever Algerian Cup trophy. The club has put a rigorous preparation plan in place, reflecting their ambition and focus on this prestigious competition. MOB’s assistant coach, Bou Saâda, expressed confidence during the cup’s presentation in Béjaïa:

“I hope the cup will stay in Béjaïa and that we will succeed in returning with the trophy next week, even though we know in advance that the task will not be easy.”

The club leadership is fully committed to providing all necessary resources to help the team achieve this historic feat.

MO Béjaia’s road to the final has been impressive:

  • They started with a penalty shootout win over JS Saoura (1-1, 3-1 on penalties).

  • In the round of 16, they won 1-0 away at Batna against local side Chabab.

  • Then, they advanced past MC Oran in Oran after a 0-0 draw, winning 4-1 on penalties.

  • The quarter-finals saw a thrilling 2-2 draw against ASMO, with MOB triumphing 6-5 on penalties in Oran.

  • To secure their place in the final, they defeated Entente Sétif 1-1 (6-5 on penalties) away in Sétif.

The final will test the resolve of these two clubs eager to write their names into Algerian football history.
