Algeria’s biggest domestic cup competition will reach its climax on July 5, when CR Belouizdad face city rivals USM Alger at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
The Algerian Football Federation confirmed the date and venue for the 2024 Algerian Cup final, stating that the highly anticipated encounter will kick off at 5:00 p.m. local time.
This marks the sixth time these two sides will meet in a cup final. CR Belouizdad came out on top in their previous finals clashes in 1969, 1970, and 1978, while USM Alger lifted the trophy in their 1988 and 2003 meetings.
According to the federation, the technical meeting ahead of the final is scheduled for next Sunday at its headquarters in Algiers.
CR Belouizdad head into the match as the defending champions, seeking their 10th title in their 15th final appearance. USM Alger, meanwhile, will be playing in their 17th final, chasing a ninth title to match their fierce rivals.
The stage is set for a thrilling derby, with city pride and silverware on the line.
