Majid Bougherra, the Algerian coach of Al-Markhiya, has characterized his team’s upcoming match against Al-Sadd in the Prince’s Cup Round of 16 as a significant challenge awaiting his side.

Speaking at a press conference today, Bougherra stated, “We face a match against the strongest team in Qatar and this season’s league champions, so we must be fully prepared for this tough task.”

He added, “Al-Sadd has players at the highest level, and it is essential for us to be completely focused.

I believe we will be because we prefer matches against top teams as they represent significant challenges, as was the case in our recent league encounters.”

Bougherra noted that his team suffered a significant setback by relegating to the second division after losing to Al-Shahaniya in the playoff match two days ago.

He affirmed that he focused on the mental aspects to overcome the negative effects of relegation.

On his part, Robin Semedo, the Portuguese defender of Al-Markhiya, affirmed that the team’s current circumstances would not deter the players from delivering their best performance to defend their chances of winning and qualifying.

The match between Al-Markhiya and Al-Sadd promises to be a thrilling encounter, with Al-Markhiya aiming to overcome recent setbacks and make a mark against one of the strongest teams in Qatar.

As both teams gear up for this crucial fixture, fans eagerly anticipate an exciting clash on the field.
