Algerian club MC Alger have appointed South African tactician Rulani Mokwena as the new head coach.

The Algerian side officially announced the appointment in a post on Facebook on Sunday, July 13.

This comes days after Africasoccer confirmed that Rulani Mokwena has been offered a tempting offer by MC Alger.

With both parties happy with the terms of the deal, an agreement has been reached, making the South African gaffer the new man in charge of MC Alger.

“Rolani Mokwena is the new coach of the dean of the Algerian clubs. Rhulani Mokwena ???? Welcome to Mouloudia,” a post on the Facebook page of MC Alger said.

Coach Rulani Mokwena’s appointment is with immediate effect. He is expected to put together a formidable squad and build a winsome side during pre-season before the start of the 2025/26 football season.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad AC manager will hope to continue to grow in his new venture while aiming to achieve success by winning laurels with the side.
