The Algerian women’s national team has moved up one spot in the latest FIFA world rankings, released on March 6. According to the update published on FIFA’s official website, Algeria now sits in 83rd place globally with 1,264 points. The team also ranks tenth on the African continent.
This progress follows a successful international break in February, during which Algeria secured two decisive victories over South Sudan in the opening round of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The team recorded a dominant 5-0 win in the first leg, followed by a 3-0 victory in the second.
At the top of the global rankings, the United States continues to hold the number one position, with Spain and Germany rounding out the top three.
