The national team have continued their preparations for the upcoming friendly against Guatemala with a third training session held in Turin.

With the match set for 27 March at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, the squad intensified their build-up on Wednesday afternoon at Juventus’ training centre in Vinovo.

The session was largely focused on tactical work, as the coaching staff fine-tuned their approach ahead of the encounter.

Riyad Mahrez and his teammates took to one of the facility’s pitches as preparations entered a crucial phase.

The emphasis remained on organisation and structure, with players working through key tactical elements expected to shape their performance against Guatemala.

There was also a positive development for the squad, as Hicham Boudaoui returned to training after missing the first two sessions due to illness.

His presence provides an additional option for the coaching staff as they finalise their plans for the match.

Attention will now turn to the final stage of preparation, with the team scheduled to hold one last training session on Thursday morning in Turin.

Shortly afterwards, the squad will travel to Genoa, where they will complete their build-up ahead of the fixture.

The final session is expected to bring together the work carried out throughout the week, as players aim to sharpen their readiness before kick-off.

Managing fitness levels while maintaining intensity has been a key focus during the training period.

Before taking to the pitch on Thursday, head coach Vladimir Petkovic will address the media at a press conference scheduled for 10:00.

He will be joined by two members of the squad, offering insight into the team’s preparations and expectations ahead of the friendly.

With preparations nearing completion, the national team’s focus remains firmly on delivering a disciplined and organised performance when they face Guatemala in Genoa.
