Algeria star Rachid Ghezzal set for Olympique Lyon return
Olympique Lyon are set to bolster their attacking options with the return of Algeria international Rachid Ghezzal.
The 33-year-old is expected to join the French Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer despite failing to land the attacker on transfer deadline day.
Rachid Ghezzal will pen an initial one-year contract with an option to extend for a further to mark his return to the French Ligue 1 giants.
The enterprising winger is a free agent after leaving Turkish Super League club Rizespor following the expiry of his contract.
The Algerian international attacker is an academy graduate of Lyon. The 33-year-old departed the Rhône club to join Monaco on a free transfer in 2017.
The former Leicester City attacker made 119 appearances for Lyon, scoring 19 goals. 8 years on, Ghezzal is set to return to his formative club.
Since making his debut in 2015, the attacker has made 22 appearances for the Algeria national team, scoring two goals.
