Algeria squad settles into Sidi Moussa ahead of AFCON 2025
The 28 players called up by Algeria coach Vladimir Petkovic for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have all arrived at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa to begin their final preparation camp.
The full group checked in on Monday, 15 December, marking the official start of their build-up to the tournament in Morocco.
On arrival, Samir Chergui and his teammates were given a short recovery period to shake off travel fatigue before getting straight to work. Later in the afternoon, the squad held its first training session, with the focus already firmly on their opening match against Sudan.
The camp in Sidi Moussa will be short but intense, as the Greens are scheduled to fly to Morocco on Friday, 19 December.
Five days after their departure, on Wednesday, 24 December, Algeria will kick off their AFCON campaign in Rabat against Sudan, a game that is expected to set the tone for their ambitions in the competition.
