Leicester City Renew Interest in Islam Slimani After Trabzonspor Talks Stall
Negotiations between Trabzonspor and Islam Slimani have reportedly collapsed over a transfer fee dispute of €6 million, reopening the door for Leicester City to pursue the Algerian striker. The English Premier League side had previously shown strong interest in acquiring the Fennecs forward.
According to Portuguese sports daily A Bola, Leicester are preparing a fresh offer worth €8 million, with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses. The publication suggests this improved bid may prompt Sporting Lisbon to reconsider their valuation of Slimani.
The striker, who has been nursing a minor injury, was notably absent from Sporting’s squad for their recent 1-1 friendly draw against Ittihad Alexandria.
