Rolland Courbis is set to become the new coach of USM Alger, taking over from the recently dismissed Miguel Angel Gamondi. Courbis, who was close to taking charge of the team last summer but abandoned the plan due to financial reasons, is now expected to sign a deal within the next 48 hours. Although nothing is official yet, Courbis could potentially make his debut as the coach on Tuesday against the championship leader, USM El Harrach. Courbis had a short-lived stint as the coach of Niger, resigning in June 2012.
