The twelfth day of the Algerian Ligue 1 did not bring clarity to the provisional leader of the championship, as the victory of USM Alger (2-0) against CR Belouizdad propelled them to the top, joining JS Kabylie and ES Sétif in the title race.
USM Alger, under the guidance of German coach Hubert Velud, secured the win, accumulating 22 points with six victories this season. ES Sétif had an opportunity to create a lead by facing Bordj Bou Arrreridj, but they were held to a 1-1 draw by a dynamic and determined opponent.
Meanwhile, the bottom-placed CRB Ain Fekroun continued its challenging season by suffering another defeat against MC Oran (0-1).
