MC Oran strengthened its growing momentum in Algeria’s Ligue 1 with a dramatic late victory over USM Khenchela, while JS Kabylie returned to winning ways in a thrilling encounter during Matchday 22 of the championship.

ASO Chlef secured a narrow but valuable win against ES Sétif after a tense contest that remained goalless for much of the match.

Although ES Sétif entered the fixture with confidence following two consecutive victories, they struggled to convert their chances.

Chlef, who had approached the match amid uncertainty, matched their opponents’ efforts in a balanced first half where both sides created opportunities but failed to break the deadlock.

The breakthrough finally arrived late in the second half.

Kokou Avotor scored in the 88th minute to hand ASO Chlef a crucial 1–0 victory.

The result leaves ASO Chlef in 13th place in the standings, while ES Sétif drop to 10th.

JS Kabylie claim dramatic win

JS Kabylie returned to winning form after two draws since their elimination from the CAF Champions League, overcoming Paradou AC in a lively encounter filled with goals.

Sofiene Hidoussi’s side began strongly and opened the scoring early.

Aimen Mahious found the net in the 14th minute before doubling the advantage in the 23rd minute.

Paradou AC quickly responded.

Ben Ahmed Kohili reduced the deficit in the 26th minute, ensuring the match remained competitive.

Late drama followed as Mahious completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute to extend JS Kabylie’s lead.

Paradou continued to fight and Mohamed Aït El Hadj scored in the second minute of stoppage time, but the visitors could not find a late equaliser.

JS Kabylie held on for a 3–2 victory, moving up to sixth place in the table, while Paradou AC remain in 14th.

MC Oran continue resurgence

MC Oran maintained their positive run of form with a comeback victory against USM Khenchela.

The visitors struck first when Franck Mbella Etouga scored in the 27th minute, putting Khenchela ahead and leaving Oran facing an uphill battle.

As the match neared its conclusion, MC Oran responded.

Yacine Aliane equalised in the 87th minute before Abderrahmane Bourdim completed the turnaround with a decisive goal in the third minute of added time.

The 2–1 win lifts MC Oran to fourth place in the standings, while USM Khenchela sit 11th.
