JS Kabylie have confirmed the signings of defender Chouaib Boulkaboul and Angolan forward Jaredi Teixeira as the club moves to strengthen its squad for the second half of the season.
The Algerian side announced the double acquisition on Thursday, January 22, 2026, as it looks to bring greater balance and consistency to a campaign that has so far produced mixed results.
Currently sitting sixth in the league table, the Canaries are seeking to reinforce key areas while continuing their involvement in both domestic competition and the CAF Champions League.
Chouaib Boulkaboul joins from ES Mostaganem after completing initial training sessions with the Kabylie squad.
The left-back later formalised his move at the club’s headquarters, signing a contract that will keep him at the club for the next two and a half years.
His arrival is intended to strengthen the left side of defence and increase competition in a position identified as a priority during the mid-season review.
The club’s recruitment drive has also extended to the attacking department, with the addition of Jaredi Teixeira from Petro Atlético Luanda.
The Angolan international trained with the team before completing his transfer, a move made at the direct request of head coach Zinnbauer, who had closely monitored the player.
Teixeira’s signing is expected to widen JS Kabylie’s attacking options as the team enters a decisive phase of the season.
These signings form part of a broader effort by the club to stabilise performances following an opening phase marked by inconsistency.
While results have fluctuated, the club remains within reach of its objectives and believes the latest additions can provide the depth and competition needed to sustain momentum.
With domestic fixtures intensifying and continental commitments continuing, JS Kabylie’s management has prioritised squad reinforcement to ensure the team remains competitive on multiple fronts.
The integration of Boulkaboul and Teixeira is expected to offer tactical flexibility and renewed energy within the group as the season progresses.
As the second half of the campaign approaches, the Canaries hope that these targeted signings will translate into improved cohesion, stronger performances and a more consistent push in both the league and the CAF Champions League.
