AFCON 2015: GOURCUFF CALLS UP 23 LOCALS FOR ALGERIA TRAINING CAMP
With confidence high after a near-perfect run in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Algeria’s coach Christian Gourcuff is wasting no time in preparing his squad for the tournament in Equatorial Guinea, which kicks off on January 17.
To fine-tune his selection, Gourcuff has called up 23 locally-based players for a training camp from December 1 to 3. This camp will allow the French coach to assess domestic talents and identify potential additions to the final AFCON squad.
The players involved know the competition will be fierce. With Algeria aiming for continental glory, only the most impressive performers will earn a place in the team bound for Equatorial Guinea.
