Algeria is intensifying its preparations for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, scheduled from June 12 to July 13, 2014. In a move to bolster the coaching staff, former Algerian international Abdelhafid Tasfaout has been appointed as the assistant coach for the Fennecs, working alongside head coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
Tasfaout’s role will involve assisting the Bosnian coach in relaying information to the offensive line, contributing his experience and insights to enhance the team’s attacking strategies. Meanwhile, the defensive sector will be overseen by the former assistant coach, Nordine Kourichi.
Abdelhafid Tasfaout, a former Algerian player, holds the distinction of being the highest goal-scorer for the national team, netting a total of 35 goals during his international career. As Algeria gears up for the World Cup, they find themselves placed in Group H alongside Belgium, Russia, and South Korea. The addition of Tasfaout to the coaching staff aims to strengthen the team’s overall strategy and performance in the prestigious tournament.
