Algerian Ligue 1: Matchday 15 Postponed Due to Sétif’s Club World Cup Campaign
Originally set for December 23, the 15th matchday of the Algerian Ligue 1 has officially been postponed, according to information from Afrik-foot. The Algerian Football League (LFP) has not yet announced a new date for the fixtures.
The postponement is due to Entente Sportive Sétif’s participation in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco. As the reigning CAF Champions League winners, Sétif is representing Africa in the prestigious international tournament, prompting the need to reschedule league action.
After the holiday break, Algerian clubs are expected to return to competition in January:
Ligue 2 will resume on January 16
Ligue 1 is scheduled to restart on January 17
The league will announce updated fixtures in due course, taking into account Sétif’s progress in the Club World Cup.
