Algeria arrives in Rabat for AFCON 2025
The Algerian national team has safely arrived in Morocco to begin its 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign.
Leaving Algiers in the mid‑afternoon on a special flight, the delegation landed at Rabat airport in less than two hours, marking the official start of their tournament journey.
The travelling group included 27 players, with midfielder Houssem Aouar absent after leaving the Sidi Moussa training camp due to injury. His replacement, Himad Abdelli, did not travel with the squad from Algeria but joined the team directly in Morocco, ensuring the list is complete before the competition kicks off.
After landing, the Greens headed to their team hotel in the heart of the Moroccan capital, arriving just after sunset. They were welcomed by fans, a security cordon and a traditional folkloric troupe, creating a warm and festive atmosphere around the team’s first evening in Rabat as they focus on preparing for their opening matches.
