The manager of the Algerian National Team, Abdelhafid Tasfaout, has called on the Algerian sports audience not to boo during the performance of Burkina Faso’s national anthem in the upcoming second leg of the play-off. Tasfaout, a former striker for the Greens, addressed the sporting public during a press conference, urging them to show respect and dignity.
He pointed out that the Algerian anthem was not whistled in Ouagadougou during the first leg, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive atmosphere and fair play. Tasfaout stressed the need for Algerian fans to display sportsmanship and extend the same courtesy to Burkina Faso as they would expect for their own national anthem.
The return match between Algeria and Burkina Faso is scheduled to take place on November 19, and Tasfaout’s message aims to promote a sense of fair play and respect during the crucial playoff encounter.
