Alfie Agyemang delivered a scintillating performance, netting twice as Falkirk cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory over Raith Rovers in the Scottish Championship at the Falkirk Stadium.
The win propels Falkirk ahead in the tightly contested head-to-head record between the sides, now standing at 13 wins to 11.
Agyemang wasted no time making an impact, scoring in the sixth minute after being set up by Calvin Miller. The Italian-born Ghanaian winger calmly slotted home from close range, giving Falkirk an early advantage.
Raith Rovers struggled to break through Falkirk’s resolute defense, and Agyemang punished them again in the 57th minute. This time, he unleashed a stunning right-footed strike from outside the box, courtesy of Brad Spencer’s clever assist, doubling the lead in style.
The game was put beyond doubt in the 66th minute when Raith’s Kai Montagu inadvertently turned the ball into his own net under pressure from a Falkirk attack.
With this result, Agyemang has now scored five goals in 16 league games. Falkirk faces Ayr United next, hoping to maintain their momentum in the Championship race.
