Alfa Balde: Portugal-Guinea-Bissau winger joins RFS from Radnicki 1923 in €200k deal

RFS have signed Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Alfa Balde from Serbian side Radnicki 1923 in a permanent transfer worth €200,000. The 21-year-old has agreed a contract with the Latvian champions running until 31 December 2029.

Balde, a left-footed right winger standing 1.70m tall, moves to the Virsliga after a brief spell in Serbia, where he arrived at Radnicki 1923 in January 2025. He initially joined the Kragujevac club on a free transfer from FC Porto B and has now earned his first move into Baltic football.

The attacker featured in the Serbian Super Liga and its relegation round, making nine league appearances last season and scoring once. He also appeared in the domestic cup, giving him experience across all major domestic competitions in Serbia before securing his switch to Riga.

Born on 2 February 2005, Balde holds connections to both Portugal and Guinea-Bissau and came through some of Portugal’s most renowned youth systems. Before stepping up to senior football, he progressed via Benfica’s academy into FC Porto’s youth and B-team structure, including spells with Porto’s U19s and B side.

Balde joins RFS with a current market value of €400,000 and will now look to establish himself in the Virsliga after completing his move from Radnicki 1923 on 28 July 2026.
