Alexis Mac Allister says no final decision has been made on his Liverpool future

Alexis Mac Allister says there has been no definitive decision over his future at Liverpool, despite having two seasons remaining on his contract.

The Argentina international told ESPN: “My future? There is no final decision at the moment. The reality is that I have two more years on my contract, but a lot can happen in two years. There are many possibilities.”

Mac Allister, 27, added that he was enjoying his time at Liverpool and hoped to remain at the club beyond the current agreement.

“From my side, I am really enjoying being at Liverpool and I hope to stay for more years,” he said. “But if it ends up being only two years, that is fine too.”

The midfielder had previously been asked about the possibility of extending his contract during an interview with TNT Sports.

“Renewing my contract? I don’t know, we’ll see,” Mac Allister said.

Mac Allister joined Liverpool from Brighton in the summer of 2023 for 42 million euros.
