Alexandria Union is entering a new era of change following the resignation of club president Mohamed Moselhi.
Stepping into the role, interim president Mohamed Ahmed Salama wasted no time putting key plans in motion to steady the club.
According to Kooora, Salama is set to meet technical director Magdi Abdul Ati in the coming hours to determine his future. Abdul Ati had earlier tendered his resignation following Moselhi’s exit. However, the club has asked for clarification on the value of the penalty clause in case the coach finalizes his departure, especially with rumors linking him to Modern Sport.
Alexandria Union is already lining up former Smouha boss Ahmed Sami as a potential replacement for Abdul Ati, pending final decisions.
Salama’s second major move includes a full restructuring of the football department in collaboration with Planning Committee head Mohamed Omar. This includes reviewing player contracts and scouting new talents.
Omar is also expected to deliver a detailed report on the youth setup and football operations.
Additionally, Salama has approved partial payments to players, with the rest to follow on scheduled dates.
